SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have recalled center Boban Marjanovic and forward Jonathon Simmons from the Austin Spurs of the NBA Development League.
Marjanovic, 7-3/290, most recently posted 21 points (10-12 FG) and 15 rebounds in 26 minutes against the Bakersfield Jam on March 20. The Serbian native has averaged 23.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 blocks while shooting .805 from the floor in 26.4 minutes over three total games with the Austin Spurs.
Simmons, 6-6/195, registered 12 points and 2 assists in 31 minutes against Bakersfield and has averaged 16.0 points, 3.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 34.6 minutes over four total contests with Austin this season.
Both in their rookie seasons in San Antonio, Marjanovic is averaging 4.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 14.0 minutes over 45 games, while Simmons is averaging 5.6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 14.0 minutes over 48 appearances with the Spurs.
