SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - Santa Cruz Warriors center Damian Jones was named the NBA Development League Player of the Month and Santa Cruz Warriors Head Coach Casey Hill was named NBA Development League Coach of the Month for games played in March and April, the league announced today.

Jones appeared in 12 of the team's 13 games while on assignment from the Golden State Warriors in March and April, averaging 17.6 points and 7.8 rebounds in 30.4 minutes while shooting 65.4 percent from the field. The 7'0", 245-pound center helped Santa Cruz earn the fourth seed in the Western Conference for the 2017 NBA D-League Playoffs.

Jones scored in double figures in all 12 games, including a season-high 25 points in a 127-117 win over the Los Angeles D-Fenders on March 31. During March and April, he recorded three point-rebound double-doubles and grabbed 12 rebounds three times.

Selected in the first round (30th overall) of the 2016 NBA Draft by Golden State, Jones has averaged 11.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.10 blocks in 31 games (21 starts) for Santa Cruz this season.

Hill led Santa Cruz to an 11-2 mark in the months of March and April, finishing the season on a six-game winning streak to earn a berth in the 2017 NBA D-League Playoffs. Under Hill, the Warriors averaged 121.9 points per game during March and April, the third-best mark in the NBA D-League. Santa Cruz also led the NBA D-League in rebounding with 48.5 boards per game.

In his fourth season as Warriors head coach, Hill has amassed a 114-86 (.570) regular-season record while guiding his team to three playoff appearances and the 2015 NBA D-League championship.

The Santa Cruz Warriors will tip-off the 2017 NBA D-League Playoffs, presented by Kaiser Permanente, with Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Wednesday, April 5 at 6:30 p.m. (PDT) against the Oklahoma City Blue at Kaiser Permanente Arena. Fans not in attendance can watch the game live on ESPNU and WatchESPN.
