RoughRiders Welcome Doug Miller to the Staff

Cedar Rapids, Iowa-The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders announced today the addition of Co-President Doug Miller to its staff. "Doug is an experienced executive with extensive knowledge in the operations, sales and marketing of a United States Hockey League (USHL) franchise. We are fortunate to have him join our team. Working hand in hand on a daily basis with Co-President, General Manager and Head Coach Mark Carlson gives the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders a management combination second to none in the USHL," stated RoughRider Sports Club Founder Tony Sdao. Previously, Miller was with the Waterloo Black Hawks of the USHL from 2001-2012. He was named the USHL's Dave Tyler Executive of the year at the conclusion of the 2011-2012 season in Waterloo. "I am extremely excited to start this new chapter of my life with this incredible organization," said Miller. "There are so many positive things happening at The Stable and in the community that I feel like I just hit the lottery!" "I look forward to working with Doug, he is an experienced, respected and successful USHL executive." commented Carlson. The RoughRiders also announced today that Mark Meyer, Vice President of the team will be leaving the organization and joining Go Cedar Rapids. "Mark is a true professional. He's been with the organization for twelve years and has been instrumental in developing the in-game presentation at The Stable to being known as one of the best in the USHL. Mark has led the sales and marketing efforts of the team and will be missed," said Carlson. "We truly wish Mark, Beth and family all the best and thank him for all his contributions to the RoughRiders." "First of all, I wanted to thank Jan and Tony Sdao for their trust and on-going support of my career with the RoughRiders," said Meyer. "I also wanted to thank our front office staff, coaching staff, fans and sponsors for an incredible journey over the last 12 seasons. I've enjoyed being a part of the RoughRider family that has been dedicated to providing a quality product both on and off the ice in our community."
