RoughRiders Partner with TXA 21 for 11 Game Broadcasts

FRISCO, TX - The Frisco RoughRiders and TXA 21 have teamed together to broadcast 10 RoughRiders games during the 2009 season, as well as, the Texas League All-Star Game on July 1 at Dr Pepper Ballpark. The first 'Riders broadcast on TXA 21 in 2009 will be Sunday, April 19 at 4:00 p.m. For a complete list of TV dates, please visit www.ridersbaseball.com.

"We're pleased to have RoughRiders baseball on the air again this year," said TXA 21 Senior Vice President and Station Manager Gary Schneider. "The broadcasts provide great entertainment for our viewers, whether they're true baseball nuts or just casual fans. We're looking forward to airing some terrific games this year."

Roughriders' announcer and Lone Star Emmy Award winner Scott Garner will do the play-by-play on all 10 of the broadcasts. Each game will feature a five minute pregame show and postgame shows up to 30 minutes in length.

"We are thrilled to continue our growing relationship with TXA 21 for the 2009 season," said RoughRiders President & GM Scott Sonju. "These broadcasts have such a great following among our fans and it is our pleasure to bring 'Riders baseball into their homes."

The RoughRiders' home opener is Thursday, April 16 at 7:00 p.m. against the Springfield Cardinals at Dr Pepper Ballpark. The 'Riders will play 70 regular season home games and will also host the Texas League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 1.
