Rockland Boulders Add 3 to Roster

Pomona, NY - The Rockland Boulders announced today the signings of 2 new players- Jeff Roy and Dylan Tice as well as the resigning of second year Boulders player, Mike Montville.

Montville, 25, played for the Boulders last season, appearing in 87 games and batting .251, with 11 home runs and 48 RBI. Defensively, the University of Maryland alum also boasted a stellar .992% fielding percentage in the outfield with 119 putouts in 123 chances.

Roy, 25, a was drafted by the Pittsburg Pirates in the 18th round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft out of University of Rhode Island after being named the 2012 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year. Over the past 4 seasons in the Pirates organization, Roy compiled a .251 batting average with 1 home run and 73 RBI's.

Tice, 24 and a native of Perkasie, PA, played for Westchester College and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 36th round of the 2015 MLB draft. He batted .314, with 4 home runs and 34 RBI's while in the Cardinals organization.

Montville, Roy, Tice, and the rest of the Boulders will begin their seventh season with a #BouldOpening on Thursday, May 18th when they host the Sussex County Miners at 7:00pm at Palisades Credit Union Park.
