Wichita, Kan. - The Wichita Stealth (6-3) are set to take on the Southwest Division leading Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (7-2) this Saturday June 12th at the Kansas Coliseum. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. and tickets are available by calling the Stealth office at 316.755.3307.
This week's match-up features the 4th ranked pass offense of Oklahoma City and the 4th ranked pass defense of Wichita. The Yard Dawgz are averaging 264.6 yards per game and the Stealth are only giving up 203.2 pass yards per game. The last time these two teams met, the Stealth held the Yard Dawgz to 240 yards in the air.
Stealth quarterback Jonathan Beasley will be making his third start of the season. In his first two games, he has gone 24-of-50 for 386 yards and 12 touchdowns. Stealth offensive specialist Damon Thompson leads the team in receiving. He has caught 39 passes for 547 yards and 16 touchdowns to pace the Stealth.
The Stealth are 4-0 at home this season and are looking to break a one game losing streak. Oklahoma City won the only previous meeting between these two teams on May 22nd in Oklahoma City by a score of 53-25.
