LAREDO, Texas – The Laredo Law take on the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings tonight at the Laredo Entertainment Center. The Law is having an ‘Ugliest Tie’ contest and kids can buy a ticket and Dad gets in free. BOSSIER-SHREVEPORT BATTLE WINGS (3-7) AT LAREDO LAW (2-7)
LAREDO ENTERTAINMENT CENTER (8,000) 7:30 P.M. CT-----The Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings go on the road to face the Laredo Law at the Laredo Entertainment Center. These two cities have developed a rivalry since the Central Hockey League Championship Series this season when the Laredo Bucks defeated the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in seven games to win the CHL President's Cup. For the first time since this series ended, these two cities compete in a sporting event. After losing their four previous games the Battle Wings won at Memphis last week. After going scoreless in the first quarter the Battle Wings scored 47 straight points on the way to a 67-28 victory. Quarterback SHERARD POTEETE completed 20 of 26 passes for 279 yards and seven touchdowns with zero interceptions. Poteete also added sixteen rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground. This performance earned him the Baby Ruth Real Deal Offensive Player of the Week accolade this week. Battle Wings' OS BO SMITH is tied for the league's third leading scorer. He has 24 touchdowns for 144 total points. Laredo's key player is on defense. DS TRACO RACHAL is tied for fifth in the af2 in tackles with 45.5. Rachal is tied for third in the league in interceptions with five. P.J. WINSTON is the leading go to guy for the Law. His 50 catches for 755 yards and 11 touchdowns leads the Law in all three of these categories. Quarterback ROCKY PEREZ leads the team in rushing touchdowns with seven. This is the first meeting between the Battle Wings and Law and the only meeting this season.

RED RAIDERS HONORED
The Law will honor the Laredo Red Raiders football team at halftime. The Red Raiders compiled an undefeated season in the Texas United Football League and open the playoffs on Saturday night at Shirley Field.
UGLIEST TIE CONTEST
The Law is hosting an ‘Ugliest Tie’ contest tonight with the selected winners competing for a variety of fabulous prizes. Anyone is eligible, including woman wearing an ugly tie. You must wear your ugly tie to the game and inside the building. Several ugly tie winners will be selected and will participate in an on field contest at halftime as they compete for a variety of fabulous prizes including Spurs versus Rockets exhibition game tickets and a mystery prize that is perfect for Father’s Day.
