PORTLAND, Maine - November 30, 2017 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, announced that the team has completed a trade with the Windy City Bulls today.
The Red Claws receive the rights to Wesley Saunders and a future 2nd round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft. In return, Windy City receives Daniel Ochefu and a 4th round pick in the 2018 NBA G League Draft. The deal is pending a successful completion of a physical.
Saunders (6-5, 215 pounds) played 46 games for Windy City last season, averaging 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. He played for Westchester and Austin in 2016-17. Saunders is currently playing overseas in Finland.
Ochefu (6-10, 240 pounds) had played in 6 games for Maine this season, and is averaging 5.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. He joined the Red Claws as an Affiliate Player after participating in Boston Celtics training camp.
The Red Claws return to action Friday and Saturday with home games against Raptors 905 and Rio Grande Valley, respectively.
