
Red Claws Clinch 3rd Straight Atlantic Division Title

PORTLAND, Maine - March 31, 2017 - The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, have clinched a playoff spot and their third consecutive Atlantic Division title tonight, thanks to Delaware's loss.
The Red Claws lost to Greensboro tonight, 122-105. Guerschon Yabusele, the first round NBA Draft pick of the Boston Celtics, made his Red Claws debut tonight, scoring 17 points and grabbing 9 rebounds in 25 minutes. Jordan Mickey, on assignment from the Celtics, led the Red Claws with 24 points tonight.
Despite the Red Claws' loss, Delaware lost to Raptors 905 tonight, 123-103, clinching the division for Maine. The Red Claws' magic number was one going into the evening.
This marks a 3rd straight playoff appearance for head coach Scott Morrison, who has three division titles in three years at the helm of the Red Claws.
The Red Claws will be the #2 seed in the NBA D-League Playoffs, and will face either Canton or Fort Wayne in the opening best-of-three series. Game 1 will be on the road, with Game 2 and (if necessary) Game 3 at home. Playoff dates and times are yet to be announced.
