
Red Claws Can't Stop Canton's Charge

The Canton Charge (20-17), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Atlantic Division-leading Maine Red Claws (23-15), 105-88, at the Memorial Civic Center on Sunday afternoon.
Kay Felder led all scorers with 30 points on 11-of-22 shooting with three steals and two blocks in 32 minutes on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers. John Holland netted 27 points with eight rebounds in 39 minutes. Roosevelt Jones scored 18 points and grabbed a game-high 15 boards with two steals in 37 minutes. Eric Moreland had nine points with 13 rebounds, two steals and three blocks in 36 minutes.
Canton made their move when down 49-47 just before halftime, they went on a 20-8 run that spanned until the 6:56 mark of the third to go ahead for good. The Charge held Maine to 15 points in the third period, forcing eight turnovers that resulted in 12 points and limiting the Red Claws to 5-of-13 from the floor as a team, (39%).
The Red Claws were led by Jalen Jones scoring 23 points with eight rebounds in 35 minutes. Abdel Nader had 16 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes. Arthur Edwards came off the bench to add 16 points in 28 minutes.
