WHITE PLAINS - The Westchester Knicks (15-11), the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, were defeated in the first-ever overtime game at home by the newest member of the D-League, the Raptors 905 (9-18), the final score 120-112.

The new neighbors up north came into Westchester hot, running up a quick 12-point lead off a 19-7 run. Going 12-for-15 in the quarter for an impressive 80 percent shooting as a team, the Raptors went up by as many as 14 points in the first quarter. The Knicks started to find their groove with a few keys plays towards the end of the quarter, softening the Raptors' edge to nine to end the first twelve minutes.

The home team heated up in the second with a 34-point quarter, 11 coming from Knicks forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo. But the Raptors 905 stayed hot as well with a 33-point quarter, with Scott Suggs coming off the bench for 11 points of his own. Westchester limited its turnovers to just one and took 26 shots to the Raptors' 15, helping to minimize the blow of the first quarter, but the Raptors 905 finished off the first half with an eight point advantage.

The difference was in the threes in the third, Raptors 905 hitting 3-of-4 to the Knicks' 3-of-9. A 10-2 run at the end of the quarter would pull the Westchester within two, the smallest margin the game had seen, but Raptors 905 quickly answered with a 12-2 to end the quarter and pull back ahead by 12.

The end looked imminent for the Knicks as the Raptors racked up a 20-point lead in the fourth, but Westchester came back to life on a 16-2 run to tie it up with 1:49 left in the game. Back and forth ensued for the next minute and a half before Bruno Caboclo hit a needed three to tie it up 110-110 with 4.1 seconds on the clock. And for the first time in Westchester County Center history, the fans were treated to some bonus basketball.

Westchester took a quick two-point lead just 20 seconds into overtime; however, the extra period belonged to the visiting team. The Raptors 905 shut out the Knicks over the final two minutes of overtime, ending the game on a 10-0 to defeat Westchester 120-112.

Five Knicks finished in double-figures with Thanasis Antetokounmpo leading the way with a team-high 22 points and four steals. Darion Atkins notched another double-double finishing with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Travis Trice II had 19 points, seven assists, and three steals.

NBA Assignee Norman Powell finished with a game-high 30 points, hitting 12-of-17. Fellow assignee Bruno Caboclo nabbed 19 points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots in the win. Ronald Roberts Jr. found the team's sole double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds, also adding two blocks.

The Westchester Knicks return to the Westchester County Center tomorrow, Jan. 23 at 5:00 p.m. to host the Erie BayHawks for Maria Fareri Children's Hospital Night, presented by Main Street Pediatric Dentistry. The first 1,400 fans in attendance will receive a Westchester Knicks foam finger and the team will wear special jerseys to be auctioned off during the game, with proceeds going to Maria Fareri Children's Hospital. The game will be broadcast live on MSG 2 and on the NBA Development League's YouTube channel.
