Monarchs Trade Justin Agosta to Walleye

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Manchester Monarchs Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Rich Seeley, announced today that the team has acquired Tyler Sikura and Chris Leone in a trade with the Toledo Walleye (ECHL) in exchange for Justin Agosta.

The Monarchs are the ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League's Los Angeles Kings and the American Hockey League's Ontario Reign.

Sikura, 24, played 39 games for the Walleye where he scored 29 points on 13 goals and 16 assists, and 13 games for the Iowa Wild (AHL) where he did not record a point. In his professional career, Sikura has played 126 games between the Springfield Falcons (AHL) Portland Pirates (AHL), Wild and Walleye, scoring 77 points on 29 goals and 48 assists.

The 6-foot-2, 194-pound native of Aurora, Ontario, played collegiately at Dartmouth College, where he was named captain for his final two years. While on campus, Sikura scored 92 points on 36 goals and 56 assists in 125 games.

Leone, 25, comes to the Monarchs after playing 28 games for the Walleye this season, where he scored 10 points on two goals and eight assists. Leone also played 19 games in the SPHL between the Pensacola Ice Flyers and Mississippi RiverKings where he scored 10 points on four goals and six assists.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound native of Dearborn Heights, Mich., played collegiately at Adrian College (NCAA III) where he scored 71 points on 24 goals and 47 assists in 109 games.

Agosta, 26, heads to Toledo after playing 40 games for the Monarchs, where he scored 25 points on seven goals and 18 assists. Agosta played three AHL games this season, one game each for the San Antonio Rampage, Albany Devils and Hershey Bears.

The 6-foot-3, 201-pound native of East Meadow, N.Y., played three seasons collegiately at the University of New Hampshire and finished his amateur career at Quinnipiac University. In college, Agosta played 155 career games and scored 67 points on 12 goals and 55 assists.

Sikura, Leone and the Monarchs return to SNHU Arena on Friday, Mar. 10 (7 p.m.), when they host the Adirondack Thunder in a critical North Division matchup. To purchase tickets, click HERE.
