Texas Legends News Release

FRISCO, TX, (Nov. 12, 2016) - Manny Harris posted a career-high 49 points, but the Maine Red Claws used a 52-point fourth quarter to erase a Legends lead and steal the victory.

Harris opened the game with a three-ball seconds after tip to set the tone for the Legends' first half. Texas shot 53% and maintained a lead for 41 minutes, building up a 17-point difference before halftime. The Red Claws began to rally in the third outscoring Texas 33-28 to cut their deficit to six going into the final minutes. Harris powered out 20 points in the fourth as the team shot 56%, but the Red Claws were unstoppable. Maine shot 65% and out-rebounded the home team 17-2 as they battled for control. Harris hit his fifth three of the game to tie up the board with 3:21 left to play, but the Red Claws responded and held onto the advantage through the final buzzer.

Harris' 49 points was a record performance for the Legends and led the team to the highest score in a season-opener in franchise history. Kyle Collinsworth dished out a game-high 11 assists while Harris, Mavericks-assignee A.J. Hammons, and Courtney Fells each grabbed 6 boards.

Demetrius Jackson led the Red Claws with 29 points while Marcus Georges-Hunt added a game-high 11 rebounds. The Red Claws finished with 48 total boards over the Legends' 33 to take a 2-0 start on their season.

The Legends will hit the road next weekend taking on the Windy City Bulls for the first-ever matchup of the two franchises. For broadcasts or the full season schedule visit www.TexLegends.com.
