Texas Legends News Release

CANTON, OH, (Dec. 7, 2016) - The Texas Legends (5-4) forged a 52-point fourth-quarter rally but came up short 128-134 Wednesday night against the Canton Charge (4-6).

Canton held the lead open to close and pulled away by as many as 22. The tone was set early as the Charge opened the game shooting 59% to Texas' 30% and taking a 13-point lead at the end of the first. Tony Wroten went 4-for-4 in the second for 10 points but Chris Evans and Quinn Cook tallied 11 each to edge the Charge further ahead.

Quincy Acy grabbed 12 of his 21 points in the third but the Legends had no answer for Cook, who got hotter every quarter. The Legends powered out 52 points in the fourth behind a combined 29-point effort from Harris and Wroten. The visitors pulled within 4 of the home team, but Cook's 17-point performance proved too much to overcome in the final minutes.

Harris continued his streak of double-doubles with a repeat of Monday's performance of 31 points, 13 rebounds. Wroten finished the night with 26 points, 4 assists while Acy tallied 21 points, 5 rebounds.

Cook set a franchise record with his 49 points and added a game-high 11 assists while Evans grabbed 28 points, 10 rebounds. Eric Moreland tabbed the third double-double for the Charge with 14 points, 13 boards.

The Legends continue their road trip in Erie on Friday, taking on the Bayhawks at 6pm CT. Fans can catch the action live on www.TexLegends.com .
