
Legends Roll Past Red Claws in Second Half Swing

PORTLAND, ME, (Dec. 9, 2017) - The Texas Legends (7-7) used a powerful second half to take down the Maine Red Claws (8-7) 127-105 Saturday night at the Portland Expo Building.
The first half saw 14 lead changes as the two teams battled for control. The Legends came out on top 52-49 at the buzzer and maintained an edge through the final 24 minutes. Texas hit a season-high 54% on the night and went up by as many as 32 in the fourth.
Dentmon led all scorers with 43 points, shooting 14-of-23 and going perfect in 9 attempts at the free throw line. Kyle Collinsworth neared a triple-double finishing with 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 assists. Brandon Ashley added 20 points, 7 rebounds, and Jameel Warney tabbed 18 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. Xavier Johnson rounded off the starting five with the final double-digit score of 11 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Jabari Bird led the Red Claws with 29 points, 10 rebounds while Devin Williams added 8 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.
