FRISCO, TX - The Texas Legends (12-10) fell to the Bakersfield Jam (10-16) 96-103 Thursday night at Dr Pepper Arena.

Tu Holloway and Mavericks assignee Justin Anderson combined for 20 points in the first to power the Legends, but Bakersfield's Kyle Casey and Xavier Silas matched the effort as the Jam took a one-point lead. The Legends quickly regained control in the second with a jumper from Toure' Murry, but after four lead changes and three ties the Jam held a 56-51 advantage at the half.

The battle continued in the third with four more lead changes. With seconds left on the clock, the Jam held a five-point lead but Allen Durham and Murry closed out with back-to-back shots to tie it up at 74. Holloway posted a 10-point effort in the final quarter as the Legends fought for the lead. The tide turned against the home team halfway through the fourth as Bakersfield took their largest lead of the night and held on to take a 1-0 lead on the season series.

The Legends were led by Holloway with 26 points and 6 assists while Anderson added 22 points, 4 rebounds. Fellow assignee Jeremy Evans added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals.

All five Bakersfield starters landed double-digit scores led by Xavier Munford with 25. Casey followed closely setting a new season-high with 23 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks and Derek Cooke Jr. grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds while adding 11 points and 2 blocks.
