Legends Finish Strong to Topple BayHawks

ERIE, PA- The Texas Legends (6-4) posted a season-high 57 rebounds Friday night in their victory over the Erie Bayhawks (2-8). After 10 lead changes and 11 ties the Legends pulled ahead in the fourth and topped the home team 111-101.
The two teams battled for the lead in the first before the Legends took over midway through with hot shooting (56%). Texas held control through the half and outshot the Bayhawks in the third to hold on to a close advantage.
The Legends took their largest lead of the night in the fourth up by 10 before Erie responded with a 16-4 run to take the lead with 7 minutes to play. The teams exchanged baskets before a 9-0 run by Texas sealed the victory. Pierre Jackson went 4-for-5 and 2-for-2 from outside for 13 fourth-quarter points to give the Legends the edge.
Harris continued his streak of double-doubles with 25 points, 15 rebounds while dishing out 4 assists. Jackson had a game-high 34 points and added 6 rebounds, 5 assists. Quincy Acy finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and Jameel Warney added 16 points, 9 boards.
Stephen Zimmerman led the Bayhawks with 20 points, 10 rebounds while the four other starters (TJ Price, Michael Lyons, Ramon Galloway, and Gabe York) added 16 points each.
