Iowa Energy Announce 2016-2017 Promotional Schedule

Des Moines, Iowa- The Iowa Energy announced their 2016-17 promotional schedule today. Highlighting the team's 10th anniversary season is the return of $2 beer on all Saturday nights, two post-game concerts and five national halftime shows.

The general public is invited to the Energy Fan Fest on Nov. 5 at Wells Fargo Arena, highlighted by a preseason game against the Windy City Bulls at 11 a.m. Fan Fest will feature bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists, enter-to-win prizes, ticket specials, post-game player autographs and more! Doors open at 10 a.m., with free entry and free parking to all fans.

Fans can tip-off opening weekend with the Energy's Ball at the Mall event at Merle Hay Mall on Nov. 19 from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Free food, games and music will be available to the public with players making special appearances throughout the day. All kids who attend Ball at the Mall will receive a complimentary Opening Night ticket from Merle Hay Mall. Fans can then head to Wells Fargo Arena for Opening Night at 7 p.m. as the Energy host the Delaware 87ers. The first 1,500 fans will receive a special edition 10th season t-shirt upon entering the arena.

The Energy have a number of new and returning promotions for the upcoming season. Pro Wrestling Night returns on March 25 with a courtside ring and matches throughout the night. The night's featured pro wrestler will be announced at a future date. Postgame concerts return this season with Country Night (Feb. 24) and Faith and Family Day (March 5).

Santa Claus will make two special visits on Dec. 20 and Dec. 23.

Join Grizz and the Kings of the Court dunk team on Memphis Night (Jan. 28) and help celebrate Surge's Birthday during Super Hero Night on March 12. The Energy are excited to offer our first-ever Kids Bash on St. Patrick's Day (Friday, March 17) with bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists and more!

Halftime shows this season include ACRODUNK (Nov. 19), the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team (Dec. 3), the Kings of the Court (Jan. 28), Simon Sez (March 17) and the Olate Dogs (April 1).

The Energy are introducing 2-for-1 Tuesdays that include 2-for-1 game tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and soft pretzels, as well as merchandise specials to be announced at a later date. The Domino's Meal Deal returns this season with every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday allowing fans to pre-purchase two tickets, a large pizza and a two liter of Coke for just $20.

To celebrate our 10th anniversary, the Energy have 10 special giveaway dates. Giveaways include: a winter hat, barbecue apron, super hero cape and youth jerseys to name a few. On March 15, the Iowa Energy will introduce #TENergy Madness with 10 random fans in attendance going home with a huge prize.

Fans should be reminded that doors to all Energy home games open 75 minutes prior to tip off.

Single game tickets are now on sale and start at just $10 per game. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the Wells Fargo Arena Ticket Office between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday (or on event days), visiting IowaNBA.com or calling the Energy Office at 515-564-8550.
