Iowa Energy Announce 2016-17 Draft Party

Des Moines, IA- The Iowa Energy will host its annual NBA D-League Draft party at Legends American Grill (216 Court Ave.) in downtown Des Moines on Sunday, October 30. The draft party will begin at 12:30 PM, with draft selections beginning promptly at 1:00 PM. Fans of all ages are welcome to attend as the Energy will select players for the upcoming season. Food and drink specials will also be offered.*

Several returning Energy players are expected to be in attendance at the Draft Party. Members of the Energy front office, High Voltage Dance Team and Spark Plugs Dance Team will also be in attendance. Energy swag bags will be raffled off during the draft, and limited merchandise will also be on sale.

The selection order for each round of the 2016 NBA D-League Draft was first determined by the reverse order of the 2015-16 regular season results, with the teams that did not qualify of the 2016 Playoffs selecting before those teams that did compete in postseason. Currently the Energy have the 11th overall pick in the 1st Round, followed by picks 55, 89, 99 and 121.

Opening Night is set for Saturday, November 19 at 7:00 PM (doors open at 5:45 PM). Single Game Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, October 26th at 10 AM.
