WINNIPEG, MB - Individual tickets for the 2017 season of Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball go on sale Saturday (May 6th) morning at 10:00 a.m.
Tickets for all 50 Goldeyes' home games can be purchased at the Shaw Park box office, via telephone at 1-855-GOLDEYE (1-855-465-3393), or online at www.ticketmaster.ca
Season tickets and 10-Game Mini Packs will also be available for pick-up beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Fans are then invited to stay for the team's annual Open House at 11:00 a.m. The Open House is free to the publc, and the first 1,500 in attendance receive complimentary hot dogs, soft drinks, and chips. The Open House includes the first official day of American Association spring training, guided tours of Shaw Park, and prize giveaways.
After playing their first 10 regular season games on the road, the Goldeyes host the Sioux Falls Canaries at Shaw Park on Monday, May 29th for their annual home opener. The team will raise the 2016 American Association championship banner, while everyone in attendance receives a 2017 Goldeyes' magnet schedule. The first of seven fireworks shows follows the game.
The early portion of the home schedule includes several other promotional highlights. On Thursday, June 15th, the first 1,000 in attendance will take home a replica version of the 2016 American Association championship ring. Fans can enjoy another postgame fireworks spectacular after the June 15th contest against Texas.
The third annual 'Bark in the Park' is on Saturday, June 17th. Goldeyes' fans can bring their pooch to the ballpark for just $14 (price includes one fan plus one dog). This year, 'Bark in the Park' attendees will try and break the world record for the number of dogs at a baseball game.
Wednesday, June 28th is the Goldeyes' annual Ukrainian celebration, featuring the Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus, Troyanda Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, and zabava band Budmo.
The Winnipeg Goldeyes open the 2017 season on May 18th on the road against the expansion Cleburne Railroaders. The Goldeyes' 2017 home opener is Monday, May 29th versus the Sioux Falls Canaries at Shaw Park. Season tickets, 10-game mini packs, and group outings for the 2017 season are on sale now.
