Fort Wayne Freedom News Release

The Fort Wayne Freedom is pleased to announce that Rocky Harvey has been named the UIF Offensive Player of the Week for his outstanding performance against the Ohio Valley Greyhounds last Saturday. Not only did Harvey lead the Freedom to victory, but he also broke the UIF single game rushing record. Harvey had 31 carries and rushed for 171 yards on the night. This breaks the record of 168 rushing yards previously held by Freddy Jackson, who now plays for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe. Harvey also rushed for 4 touchdowns, 3 of which came in the third quarter and had 2 catches for 11 yards.

The Freedom (3-0) looks to continue their winning streak as they head out west this weekend to visit the Sioux City Bandits (0-3) on Saturday, April 15th. Game time is set for 8:05PM EST. These two teams faced each other two weeks ago on opening weekend with the Freedom being victorious over the Bandits 28-23.
