Fort Wayne Fusion News Release
The Fort Wayne Fusion has announced that single-game tickets for the 2007 season will go on sale this Saturday, March 10th at 10:00am. Tickets will be available at the Memorial Coliseum ticket office, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at (260) 424-1811.
Fusion tickets range in price from $6.50 for general admission, $12.50 for upper level, $14.50 for lower level end zone, $19.50 for lower level sideline, and $32.50 for field level (first 4 rows).
With season ticket sales already topping the 1,500 mark and the franchise's first game -- and exhibition match-up against the Mahoning Valley Thunder -- less than 2 weeks away, the Fusion is looking forward to a successful inaugural season in arenafootball2.
"We've already had a great response from the people of Fort Wayne," said General Manager Mike McCaffrey. "[Season] ticket sales have been strong, which we had hoped for and kind of expected because this is definitely a sports town."
The Fusion is also taking to the field for Arena Football this Sunday - Wrigley Field, that is. This Sunday, Fusion players, coaches, staff and members of the Dance Team will be on hand at Wrigley Field Bar & Grill to watch the AFL on ESPN, with the Georgia Force take on the visiting Austin Wranglers. Wrigley Field Bar & Grill is located at 6527 E. State Boulevard in Fort Wayne, and the event takes place from 1-6pm. The game kicks off at 3:30pm EST, and fans can enjoy food and drink specials. The Fusion will have prize giveaways before and during the game, including tickets, merchandise, and an authentic Arena Football autographed by Fusion Head Coach "Touchdown" Eddie Brown.
Coach Brown is looking forward to the game. "I can't wait," he said. "This is a great way for fans here in Fort Wayne to get introduced to Arena Football. This is a great football town, but it's new to the AFL. Plus, this is the best way for them to see where the best af2 players end up."
Georgia Force QB Chris Greisen tied a franchise record with 9 TD passes in the Force's 69-65 victory over the Arizona Rattlers in their season opener. Greisen, who played in the af2 for the Green Bay Blizzard in 2004, earned AFL Offensive Player of the Week honors for his performance, completing 25 of 30 passes for 337 yards to go along with his 9 TDs.
