Bloomington Extreme News Release
The Bloomington Extreme are 3-0 for the first time in franchise history after a 44-14 drubbing of the Reading Express at the Sovereign Center in Reading, Penn.
The Extreme scored on the first possession of the game on a 1-yard Rocky Hinds touchdown run and never looked back. Hinds finished the night 25-of-35 passing for 233 yards and 5 touchdowns, hitting James Walton in the end zone three times, including a 37-yard bomb as the first half ended to put the Extreme up 28-14.
The Extreme kept the heat on in the second half, holding the Express to zero points and knocking out their quarterback, league-leading rusher Chris Malleo.
The Extreme also had touchdown receptions by Glenn Johnson and Johnny Gray, as well as a safety by Antonio "Hollywood" Ficklin to round out the scoring. The Extreme defense forced four more turnovers.
The Extreme travel to Green Bay next week to play the Blizzard for the second time in three weeks. The Extreme beat the Blizzard 42-26 at U.S. Cellular Coliseum last week.
