Grand Rapids Drive News Release
GRAND RAPIDS, MICH - The Grand Rapids Drive, the NBA Affiliate of the Detroit Pistons announced today that the team has added returning player Gary Forbes to its 2015-16 roster.
Forbes, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound forward from the University of Massachusetts is a veteran of the NBA having spent the 2010-11 season with the Denver Nuggets, and the 2011-12 campaign with the Toronto Raptors. With the Nuggets in 2010-11, Forbes appeared in 63 games (11 starts) and averaged 5.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. In December of 2011 Forbes was signed by the Toronto Raptors for the 2011-12 regular season where he played in 48 games (2 starts) and averaged 6.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. Forbes spent the 2013-14 season with the Springfield Armor, averaging 17.4 points, 1.55 steals and 2.09 assists in 11 games (10 starts).
Forbes returns to the Drive to wear River City Jersey number 96 for tonight's game and number 6 for Wednesday's final home game and the remainder of the 2015-16 regular season.
