
DONALD SLOAN NAMED NBA G LEAGUE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

FRISCO, TX. - Texas Legends guard Donald Sloan was named NBA G League Player of the Week today for games played Monday, Jan. 15 through Sunday, Jan. 21.
Sloan (6-3, 205, Texas A&M) averaged 29.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 9.0 assists in three games last week, leading Texas to a 3-0 record. The Dallas native set new season-highs for himself in scoring in consecutive games as the Legends also reached a season-record 146 points Friday and second place 144 points on Saturday. Sloan added team season-highs in assists in both games.
Sloan has played 14 games with the Legends this season while also joining Team USA in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers.
Texas (17-11) is currently on a five-game win streak after tallying three wins over the Memphis Hustle, Grand Rapids Drive, and Rio Grande Valley Vipers this week. The Legends return to the court Tuesday hosting the Reno Bighorns at 7pm CT.
