Sioux Falls Skyforce News Release

SIOUX FALLS, SD - Denver Nuggets two-way player Torrey Craig made his return to the lineup tonight, tallying a 35-point, 11-rebound double-double to lead the Sioux Falls Skyforce (5-4) to a 136-100 win over the Erie BayHawks (5-6).

In a game that saw six lead changes in the first five minutes, the Skyforce managed to take a 10-point lead into the second quarter and never looked back from there. Sioux Falls led by as many as 42, and scored 30-or-more points in all four quarters, including a 37-point third quarter that ballooned the lead to 28 points entering the final period.

Kadeem Jack earned his second start of the season in place of Miami HEAT assignee AJ Hammons (illness), and posted 20 points and a career-high 19 rebounds in a season-high 33 minutes of playing time. The last time a Skyforce player collected at least 19 rebounds was on December 18, 2014 when Khem Birch tallied 19 rebounds against Los Angeles.

In addition to the breakout performances from Craig and Jack, Erik McCree posted 22 points in just 23 minutes and Ike Nwamu notched 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting off the bench for Sioux Falls in the win.

Atlanta Hawks assignee Tyler Dorsey (21 points and five rebounds) and Roscoe Smith (23 points and seven rebounds) led the team with a combined 44 points off the bench for the BayHawks in the loss, while Jeremy Hollowell (14 points) and Raphiael Putney (10 points) rounded out the scoring in the starting lineup.

Though the two teams tied at 54 points in the paint apiece, the difference was Sioux Falls +20 rebound margin in the game, collecting 56 rebounds to just 36 for Erie. All 12 Skyforce players to see playing time tonight recorded an assist in what was an all-around team victory, shooting 51.1 percent from the field in the win.

The Skyforce remain in Sioux Falls as the team looks to continue their winning ways on Friday, December 1 against the Santa Cruz Warriors at the Sanford Pentagon, while the BayHawks visit the Windy City Bulls on Wednesday, November 29 before returning home to face the Grand Rapids Drive on Friday, December 1.
