Coyotes Fight for Playoff Spot

(Fresno, CA) -The Central Valley Coyotes (8-6) hold their playoff fate in their own hands this weekend when they take on the Boise Burn (8-6) Saturday July 19th. The Coyotes currently hold the sixth seed in the playoff ranks while the Burn hold the number seventh seed. For any chance to clinch this weekend, both teams need to win.

With a win and a loss by both the Amarillo Dusters and the Bossier Shreveport Battlewings your in. In the last meeting between the two teams on May 24, the Coyotes needed to come from behind for the win 46-40.

Prior to this game the Coyotes will be holding Coyote Fest '08, festivities will include: a Canned Food and Diaper Drive benefiting the families of the Fresno Army National Guard, a Blood Drive which will aid local hospitals in need, a motorcycle show and fan-voting contest, appearances by the Raiderettes and the Barbarian from the Raiders' black hole. Doors will open at 4 PM for the Bike Show with kick off happening at 7 PM.

As part of Coyote Fest '08, any fan wearing Silver and Black in honor of "Raider Nation" will receive a $10 arena level seat (normally $24). The Coyotes will be attempting to recreate the "Black Hole" at Save Mart Center so show your colors.
