Chris Carlisle Signs Two-Way Contract with Binghamton Senators

July 10, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Oshawa Generals News Release

Former Generals defenceman, Chris Carlisle, has signed a one year two-way contract with the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League (AHL). The Binghamton Senators, also known as the B-Sens, are minor league affiliates of the Ottawa Senators.

Carlisle spent all four season of his OHL career with the Generals after being drafted by Oshawa in 2010, 284th overall. He developed into a leading defenceman for the club with his strong defensive skills and his ability to make offensive plays. He recorded 90 points (17 goals, 73 assists) in 226 regular season games, and 10 points in 38 playoff games as a General.

Carlisle will be remembered for a lot, including his big play in the final game of the 2015 MasterCard Memorial Cup. Less than two minutes into overtime, Carlisle put the puck on net from the point, which Anthony Cirelli was able to bang in to crown the Gens as Memorial Cup Champions.

The Generals congratulate Chris on his contract with the Senators and wish him all the best in his hockey career.
