Chasers Charities will be presenting a Chasin' Dreams Grant to the City of Bellevue on Tuesday, November 7 at the Haworth Park Baseball Fields. Local dignitaries from the City of Bellevue will be in attendance as part of the check presentation. Each year during two grant cycles, Chasers Charities grants funds to help small non-profit organizations that operate youth baseball and/or softball programs that are making major renovations.
The City of Bellevue's Parks and Recreations program currently fields 110 baseball teams, consisting of 1,350 participants, including 1,100 youth, with six tournaments scheduled for the year. The city will also collaborate with the Offutt Air Force Baseball Softball Intramural Program for use of the fields as a result of tornado damage sustained on the base.
