Balanced Attack Leads Legends Past Bighorns

FRISCO, TX- The Texas Legends (7-5) outlasted the Reno Bighorns (3-10) Wednesday night in Frisco. The Bighorns made a push in the fourth and kept the game close, but the Legends held on to take the victory 126-121.

The Legends got off to a hot start shooting 70% in the first and taking an 8-point lead. Manny Harris went 6-of-7 for 15 points while Quincy Acy added 10 points, 7 rebounds. Reno tied it up in the second before Texas went on a 10-0 run to go up by 11. The Bighorns outscored Texas 32-31 but remained behind at the half.

Jameel Warney and Pierre Jackson went off for Texas out of the locker room as the Legends controlled the third, taking their largest lead of the night up 16. Texas went into the fourth with an 11-point advantage and maintained the lead through eight minutes. Reno began chipping away at the lead midway through the final quarter and took over on a second-chance layup by Renaldo Major. Jackson was sent to the line shortly after and regained the control the Legends would carry through the final buzzer.

The Legends had five players in double-digits with Jackson leading all scorers at 29 points while adding 2 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. Acy came close with 28 points and added the game's only double-double with 14 rebounds. Manny Harris finished with 24 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and Jameel Warney totaled 20 points, 9 rebounds.

Lamar Patterson led the Bighorns with 27 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists while Chane Behanan grabbed 18 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals.
