
Austin Spurs Fall to Westchester Knicks

AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Spurs (5-9) fell to the Westchester Knicks (8-4), 120-106 at the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park Sunday afternoon.
San Antonio assignee Bryn Forbes paced the Spurs with 23 points and 4 rebounds in 26 minutes. Off the bench, Charles Garcia chipped in 21 points (7-11 FG, 7-10 FT), 4 rebounds and 2 assists in 27 minutes. Cory Jefferson recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 16 points (5-10 FG, 6-8 FT) and 10 rebounds in 35 minutes.
Austin trailed most of the contest and was behind by as many as 31 points in the third quarter. They were able to cut it down to 12 (116-104) with :42.9 left in the fourth, but couldn't get any closer. Despite the loss, four Spurs scored in double digits (Jarell Eddie- 12).
Chasson Randle led the Knicks with 36 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in 41 minutes. Jordon Crawford contributed 32 points (13-18 FG, 5-7 FT), and 2 rebounds in 34 minutes. Von Wafer chipped in 12 points (5-7 FG), 3 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots in 18 minutes.
Next up, Austin hits the road for back-to-back games against the Salt Lake City Stars on Tuesday, December 20 at 8:00 p.m., and the Reno Bighorns on Wednesday, December 21 at 9:00 p.m. They return home for their annual Season of Giving game on Friday, December 23 at 8:30 p.m. against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.
