Orlando Pride News Release
The century goal mark is creeping up for Alex Morgan after a strong CONCACAF Women's Championship tournament.
Morgan's late goal on Wednesday night put the USWNT up 2-0 and clinched the title bringing her total to 97 goals representing the red, white and blue. The goal was her seventh of the tournament, most by any player, giving the Pride forward the Golden Boot honors on top of lifting the tournament trophy with her team.
Now that their 2019 World Cup ticket is booked for this summer, the USWNT will focus on friendlies to gear up to defend their world title. With 24 goals in her last 24 appearances, you would think Morgan is a sure bet to hit the 100-goal mark in those friendlies before the big tournament this summer.
