Iowa Energy Remain Undefeated with Win against Mad Ants

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy (4-0) won 88-77 over the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (3-1) Sunday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena.

The Energy were led by Andrew Harrison with a game-high 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Cartier Martin added 22 points and Alex Stepheson added a double-double 17 points and 19 rebounds. The Mad Ants were led by Terran Petteway with 15 points and two rebounds.

It was a tight low scoring first quarter to start the game, with the teams exchanging the lead three times along with six ties. Martin and Stepheson combined for 13 of the Energy's 15 first quarter points. Fort Wayne held a 20-16 lead after the first quarter. It continued to be close in the second quarter. Harrison's 12 points were more than half of the Energy's 23 points in the quarter. The Mad Ants would lead 45-39 at halftime.

Harrison continued with the hot hand in the third quarter, adding 11 more points. The Energy went on a 12-3 run to open up a nine-point lead as they outscored the Mad Ants 29-14 in the quarter to hold a 68-59 advantage heading into the fourth. Stepheson dominated the boards with seven fourth quarter rebounds along with Martin's eight fourth quarter points to push the lead to 13. The Energy would cruise to an 88-77 victory to remain undefeated and take sole possession of the Central Division.

The Energy travel to Grand Rapids on Nov. 28 to begin a three-game road trip before returning home Dec. 9.
