Shuckers Playoff Tickets Go on Sale Thursday

BILOXI, MS - Biloxi Shuckers Southern League South Division Series playoff tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday. The Southern League South Division first half champions will open the best-of-5 series against the South Division second half winner or division wildcard at 7:10 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10.

At 10 a.m. on the Thursday, fans can purchase tickets online through biloxishuckers.com, ticketmaster.com, or by calling 800-745-3000 or visiting the MGM Park box office.

The Shuckers' Inaugural Southern League playoff appearance begins Thursday, Sept. 10, when the club hosts a MGM Park SL Division Series opener at 7:10 pm. There will also be a home game the next night, Friday, Sept. 11 featuring a post-game fireworks extravaganza.

The Shuckers will be recognizing the men and women of our first responders and military on Sept. 11. The Shuckers partnered with First Command Financial Services to recognize a member from the Biloxi Fire and Police Departments as well as a member of the Army, Air Force, Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard. These seven individuals and their family members will be thanked on field before the game and participate in the game's honorary first pitch ceremony.

"It's been an extraordinary year for our organization. And now everybody's hard work, patience, support and understanding will be rewarded with the playoffs in our inaugural season," said GM Buck Rogers. "We couldn't be prouder of the players and coaches as they progressed through this season of obstacles and challenges. And for the fans in the Shucker Nation, we hope that the energy they bring to MGM Park every night will be rewarded with the championship trophy because our fans are the driving force!"

The Shuckers qualified for the playoffs by winning the Southern League's South Division first half, finishing 43-25 and going 33-21 on a 54-game road trip to open the season. Chattanooga was the first half winner in the North Division, also turning in a record of 43-25. If the Shuckers were to win the best-of-5 series, they would advance to the Southern League Championship Series and host the first two games of the best-of-5 series at MGM Park, tentatively scheduled for Sept. 16-17, but subject to change based upon early completion of the divisional rounds. The final three games of the Championship Series is scheduled for the North Division site.

Division Series playoff tickets purchased in advance range from $12-$26, based on availability. Day-of-game purchases range from $14-$28. For more information, contact the Shuckers at 228-233-3465.

The Shuckers have 10 regular season games remaining on the schedule, featuring five-game series against the Mobile BayBears (ARI), Aug. 23-27 and Tennessee Smokies (CHC), Sept. 3-7. There will be post-game fireworks following the final Saturday and Sunday games of the regular season, Sept. 5-6. The 2015 regular season ends on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th, with a 1:10 matinee.
