Diante Garrett Named to NBA Development League All-Star Roster

Des Moines, Iowa - The NBA Development League announced Diante Garrett as a replacement in the 2015 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire. The game, which tips off at 1:30 p.m. CT at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, Feb. 15, will air live on NBA TV.

Garrett (6-4, 190) has averaged 14.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 28 games (27 starts) for the Energy this year. The former Iowa State Cyclone ranks fourth in the league in minutes played per game (37.3) this season. Garrett will join Energy teammate Damien Wilkins on the Eastern Conference roster.

Four top NBA D-League prospects were today announced as replacements in the 2015 NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire. The game, which tips off at 2:30 p.m. ET at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, Feb. 15, will air live on NBA TV.

On the Western Conference Prospects roster, Vander Blue (Los Angeles) will replace Jordan Hamilton (Reno), Roscoe Smith (Los Angeles) replaces James Michael McAdoo (Golden State/Santa Cruz) and Talib Zanna (Oklahoma City) replaces JaMychal Green (Memphis/Austin). Diante Garrett (Iowa) replaces Lorenzo Brown (Minnesota/Grand Rapids) on the Eastern Conference Futures roster.

Brown, Green and McAdoo are ineligible to play in the game by way of their status with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors, respectively. Hamilton will miss the contest due to personal reasons.

The original 2015 NBA D-League All-Stars were selected by a vote of the league's 18 head coaches while the replacements represent the available players with the next-highest scores among the coaches original vote.

The ninth annual NBA D-League All-Star Game presented by Kumho Tire will be preceded by the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Three Point Contest and will host the Boost Mobile NBA D-League Slam Dunk Contest during the halftime break.
