Vander Blue & Roscoe Smith Named to NBA D-League All-Star Team

EL SEGUNDO - Vander Blue and Roscoe Smith have been named as NBA D-League All-Star replacements, it was announced today. The pair joins D-Fenders teammate Jabari Brown on the Western Conference Prospects roster. The All-Star Game, which tips off at 2:30 p.m. ET on February 15th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will air live on NBA TV.

Blue currently ranks fourth in the NBA D-League in scoring with 21.5 points per game, while grabbing 5.5 rebounds and dishing out 5.2 assists per game. Blue is the only player in the league averaging at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. For the month of January, Blue averaged 31.5 points, shooting 51.6% and scoring 30 points or more in 8-of-11 games, along with averaging 6.1 assists and 5.8 rebounds. Blue recorded a triple-double on February 5th, tallying 27 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds.

Smith ranks 10th in the NBADL with 19.5 points (54.9%) and 3rd in rebounds with 11.9 per game. Smith is the only player in the NBA D-League averaging at least 19 points and 11 rebounds. Smith leads the NBA D-League in double-doubles with 23, while ranking 2nd in the league in second-chance points (5.3). On December 6th, Smith recorded his season-high of 38 points (89.5%) in a win over Reno. Smith has grabbed 15 or more rebounds in 10 games this season, including a season-high 18 rebounds on November 14th at Santa Cruz.
