Bighorns Charge Past Canton

RENO, Nev., Feb. 12, 2015- With eight Bighorns shooting in double digits, the Bighorns improved their record to 14-16 Thursday night after defeating the Canton Charge 108-101 at the Canton Memorial Civic Center in Canton, OH.

Sim Bhullar and Jordan Hamilton paced the Bighorns with 17 points each. Bhullar finished 8-9 from the field and had a total of seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Hamilton tallied six rebounds and seven assists. David Stockton added 15 points, five assists and two steals for the Bighorns.

Arinze Onuaku led the Charge with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Brandon Paul and Justin Johnson had six points each while Johnson added five assists and three rebounds for the Charge.

Hamilton led the Bighorns in the first quarter with seven points, three rebounds and two assists. Ayers Followed Hamilton closely with six points while Quincy Miller notched four points, three rebounds and two assists in the quarter.

With eight points, Wear led the Bighorns in the second quarter. Tajuan Porter had seven points and three rebounds in the quarter.

At the half, the Bighorns led the Charge 59-54.

The Bighorns went 21-40 from the field (52.5%) in the first half, compared to the Charge's 23-48 (47.9%) while Hamilton went 4-5 from the field in the first half.

In the third quarter, Hamilton tallied seven points in the quarter while James had six points. David Stockton totaled two assists in the quarter.

During the final quarter in play, Bhullar paced the Bighorns with 11 points and four rebounds. Miller totaled five points in the quarter and added four rebounds. Stockton and Ayers notched four points each while Ayers added three rebounds in the fourth.

Bhullar went 6-7 from the field in the second half while James went 4-5.

After a week off, the Bighorns return home Thursday, February 19 at 7 p.m. to face the Austin Spurs.
