Another Bighorns Record-Setting Game Leads to Win

RENO, Nev. - The Bighorns' shattered the all-time three-point single game record with 31 threes made, defeating the Santa Cruz Warriors 157-132 in the second game of the back-to back series in Reno tonight.

The Bighorns previously set the record in late November in Boise with 28 threes in the game.

Five Bighorns players shot double digits while two of those five logged a double-double. Ra'Shad James led the team with 33 points and three assists. Jordan Hamilton also netted 33 points and added 11 rebounds and eight assists. David Stockton notched 30 points and ten assists.

James McAdoo led the Warriors with 36 points and 15 rebounds. Dominique Sutton added 16 points and nine rebounds for the Warriors.

The Bighorns lit up the court in the first quarter draining 12 of 15 threes in the first 12 minutes in play. Hamilton netted 13 points and added three assists in the quarter. James totaled 12 points going 4-5 from behind the arc. The Bighorns went 80.0% from behind the arc compared to the Warriors 50.0%.

During the second quarter, it was the David Wear Show. Wear had 13 points, and two assists. Wear went 100% from the three-point line (3-3), 100% from the field (3-3), and 100% from the free-throw line (4-4) in the quarter. David Stockton added 9 points in the second.

The Bighorns finished the first half 19-25 from the three-point line, going 76.0% from the behind the arc compared to the Warriors 16.7%. James finished the first half with 18 points while Stockton totaled 17 points and four assists. Wear netted 16 points in the first 24 minutes in play.

The Bighorns went into the locker room leading the Warriors 84-68.

In the third quarter, Stockton led the team with nine points and three assists. James totaled seven points in the quarter

Hamilton had 18 points, two rebounds and three assists leading the team in the fourth quarter. James notched eight points while Stockton added three assists.

Hamilton finished the second half of the game with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists. James followed Hamilton closely with 15 points.

"Tonight, we shared the basketball more than usual," said Bighorns head coach Dave Arseneault. "The sharing translated into us getting some great looks from the three-point line."

The Bighorns went 57.4% from behind the arc compared to the Warriors 14.3%, and went 31-54 for three-point shots.

The Bighorns return home Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. to take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
