Loveland, Colorado - The Utah Grizzlies (34-22-3-5) defeated the Colorado Eagles (31-22-7-4) 6-3 Friday night at Budweiser Events Center.

The wild game saw the Grizzlies lead 1-0 and 2-1 before Colorado scored two goals in 48 seconds to take a 3-2 lead in the second period before Utah closed the game with four-straight goals.

Aaron Dell improved to 16-6-0-2 after stopping all 14 shots in the third period and 29 of 32 shots in the contest overall.

Six Grizzlies players had multiple-point games as D.J. Jelitto (two goals, one assist), Michael Pelech (one goal, two assists) and Mathieu Aubin (one goal, two assists) all had three-point nights. Charles Sarault had one goal and one assist in his Grizzlies debut a day after being assigned by Anaheim from Norfolk. Adam Pineault and David Vallorani each had two assists.

Sarault gave Utah a 1-0 lead 9:51 into the first period as Vallorani got the puck to Danick Paquette to lead the three-on-two rush up ice for the score.

Utah made it 2-1 2:20 into the second period as D.J. Jelitto hacked in his first goal of the night and his 11th goal of the year as he knocked a puck home that Colorado goaltender Marc Cheverie was trying to freeze in the five-hole. Kris Hogg set the play up by racing through the crease to the corner and centered the loose puck towards the net.

After Colorado scored two goals in 48 seconds to erase the 2-1 deficit and take a 3-2 lead, Danick Paquette fought Jason Beatty after a good shift in the Colorado zone. The Grizzlies responded with a goal 25 seconds later as Sarault fed Pineault on a rush up ice.

Tied at 3 late in the second, Utah killed a penalty and Adam Pineault raced from the penalty box towards the goal as Pelech and Jelitto joined him on the odd-man rush and after Pineault's shot was denied, Jelitto (12) hammered in a goal from the side of the net on the second effort.

Mathieu Aubin (15) went under the bar on a rebound 1:25 into the third period and then setup Pelech (13) on a beautiful pass for an open net to make it 6-3 with 5:15 left in the third.

Six goals by the Grizzlies tied a season-high for goals scored set in a 6-4 win over Stockton on January 11.

The Grizzlies and Eagles complete their three-game series Saturday at 7 p.m. from Colorado.
