La Fiera (0-1) scored five minutes into the game when Erick Flores scored his first of the season to make it 1-0.
In the second period Monterrey (1-0) leveled the match on a goal by Gustavo Rosales which made it one all. However, La Fiera would regain the lead when Damian Garcia made it 2-1.
Monterrey responded with a quick goal from Erick Tovar that made it 2-2 and took the lead with a power play goal from Jose Luiz Birche to give them a 3-2 edge.
La Fiera would respond in the third period with a goal from Leo Casanova that evened the scoreboard at 3 apiece.
The Flash needed eight seconds to take the lead again courtesy of a Luarenco Andrade goal that made it 4-3. Juan Jalomo would respond for La Fiera as they tied the match at four apiece.
Bryan Aguilar would give the Flash a 5-4 lead midway thru the fourth quarter. Late in the period, Carlos Farias would even the match at five apiece for La Fiera as that goal sent the match into overtime.
The Flash scored on a golden goal by Flores which was the second of the match and that ended the match at 6-5. Brownsville goal keeper Juan Gamboa took the loss surrendering six goals.
The first regular season home game for La Fiera F.C, will be on Sunday, November 10th at State Farm Arena versus the Texas Strikers with the kickoff at 5:05 pm.
