Here is a list of upcoming community events for Stamps players and personnel:
Date: Tuesday, Aug. 6
Time: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Attending: Junior Turner, Marquay McDaniel and Chris Bauman
Event: Beltline Aquatic and Fitness Centre Summer Day Camps
Location: 221 12th Ave. SW
Details: Stamps players will be taking part in Q&A sessions and organized activities as well as signing autographs.
Date: Thursday, Aug. 8
Time: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Attending: Stampeders players and Ralph the Dog
Event: Every Yard Counts hospital visit *
Location: Alberta Children's Hospital
Details: Stampeders players will be visiting young patients the day before their Aug. 9 showdown with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
* Due to hospital regulations, this is a closed event with no public access
Date: Thursday, Aug. 8
Time: 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Attending: Jon Cornish, officials from Purolator Inc. and the Calgary Food Bank
Event: Purolator Tackle Hunger photo opportunity
Location: Calgary Food Bank (5000 11th St. SE)
Details: Jon Cornish will be on location speaking about the importance of the Purolator Tackle Hunger program, encouraging fans to remember to bring non-perishable food donations to the Aug. 9 game against the Roughriders. The Grey Cup will also be in the house.
Date: Thursday, Aug. 8
Time: 6 to 8 p.m.
Attending: Corey Mace, Chris Bauman, Junior Turner, Charleston Hughes, Edwin Harrison and Ralph the Dog
Event: DQ Miracle Treat Day
Location: Glenmore location (3200 Glenmore Tr. SE); Bow Trail location (4105 Bow Tr. SW); Madigan Plaza location (6060 Memorial Dr. NE, Bay 22), Airdrie location (105 Edmonton Tr. S); Braeside location (1919 Southland Dr. SW); Shawnessy location (215 Shawville Blvd.)
Details: Stampeders players and Ralph the Dog will be serving Dairy Queen treats. One dollar from every Blizzard purchased will be donated to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
The Stampeders play host to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday, Aug. 9. Kickoff at McMahon Stadium is at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at Stampeders.com
