
Cutters Ready to Kick off 2013 Season

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters season opens on Monday, June 17 at State College Spikes with the home opener Tuesday, June 18 at Historic Bowman Field as the Cutters host the Spikes at 7:05pm.
The Opening Day roster features a total of 29 players including the Phillies 2nd round draft picks from both the 2012 and the 2013 draft; outfielder Dylan Cozens (2012) and C Andrew Knapp (2013). The roster also includes RHP Mitch Gueller selected by the Phillies between the 1st and 2nd rounds in 2012 (54th overall).
Additional 2013 draft picks include; OF Justin Parr (8th round) from the University of Illinois, RHP Shane Martin from Southwestern Oklahoma State (9th round) and RHP Joe Prosinski (10th round) from Seton Hall. In all, the Phillies have assigned 9 of their 40 selections to Williamsport thus far.
The Cutters roster also includes five players who have previously played in Williamsport including; LHP Lino Martinez (2011), RHP Manny Martinez (2012), RHP Ramon Oviedo, RHP Josh Warner (2012), & OF Jiandido Tromp (2012).
In addition, thirteen players on the opening day roster played together last season for the Gulf Coast League Phillies.
The Crosscutters have an all new coaching staff for 2013 led by manager Nelson Prada, pitching coach Les Lancaster, hitting coach Lino Connell and coach Shawn Williams who is the son of former major league manager Jimy Williams.
Box seat and general admission tickets for Opening Night are still available. Fans may order online at crosscutters.com, via phone at (570) 326-3389 or in-person at Bowman Field Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Tuesday (Opening Day) from 9am-3pm. The box office will then open for the game at 5:30pm.
