'Stormers 5th Annual "Salute to Military" Set for Saturday

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Barnstormers will be hosting their annual "Salute to Military" presented by Allied Insurance this Saturday, June 15 when they battle the San Jose Saber Cats at Wells Fargo Arena. Kickoff is set for 7:05pm. This will mark the fifth straight season that the Barnstormers will host a special night that honors both members who are active serving and military veteran's along with their families.
The highlight of this year's event will be a game-worn jersey auction. The auction will feature one of a kind camouflage jersey's worn by the Barnstormers on Saturday night. Fans will be able to place bids on their favorite players jersey throughout the game. Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the game and will have the opportunity to meet up with the players and get autographs down on the field. All proceeds from the jersey auction will benefit the American Legion Riders, who will also be on hand to play a major role in the pre-game festivities. The Barnstormers would like to thank all of our Military Night sponsors for participating in this great event. So far over 40 businesses across Iowa have purchased a package allowing military personal, veteran's and their families attend Saturday night's game for FREE.
