
San Bernardino and Riverside Counties Play Ball June 13th

San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers in partnership with the Inland Empire Baseball Coaches Association are proud to present the IEBCA All Star Game Thursday, June 13th which will be held for the third consecutive year at San Manuel Stadium. The game features the top talents from Riverside and San Bernardino Counties beginning with batting practice at 5 PM, and the first pitch for the game is set for 7:05.
"It's an honor to be a part of something so special and great for the kids, : said Darren Espinoza, Manager for Rialto HS and the San Bernardino County team. "We compete against each other all year, but for one night we are one team."
San Bernardino County has one of the top college pitching prospects in southern California in Redlands Terrier Angel Landazuri. The UC Riverside Highlander committed right hander went 10-2 his senior season with a 1.02 ERA and 89 strikeouts in 82.1 innings pitched according to maxpreps.com.
Leading the Riverside County All Stars will be Santiago catcher Chance Sisco who will play for Oregon next year if he does not sign with whichever major league team drafts him (he is expected to go in the top 10 rounds). On the mound for Riverside County is Beaumont right hander Angel Delgado. Delgado made headlines by throwing a no hitter during the Southern Section playoffs.
"I am amazed at the amount of baseball talent that these two counties hold," said Chris Jones, Elsinore HS and Riverside County Manager. :It is a wonderful service to the local baseball community that is provided by the 66ers and the IEBCA and I would like to thank them for the opportunity."
"We are excited to host the very best high school baseball talent at San Manuel Stadium," said 66ers General Manager Joe Hudson. "I know how talented and dedicated the baseball players are here, and I'm proud to have the Inland Empire 66ers host this game before some of its stars return to play for us as pros."
Admission is just $5 for the game which will be played at the Inland Empire 66ers home ballpark, San Manuel Stadium. For more information contact the 66ers at (909)888-9922.
