Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack organization and General Manager Dale DeGray is pleased to announce that they have signed 2013 First Round Draft Pick Ethan Szypula to an Ontario Hockey League Player Agreement contract.
Szypula was the 17th overall pick for the Attack and spent the 2012/2013 season with the London Knights Minor Midget Gold team.
The London native is a 5'10, 155lb forward, who notched 22 goals and 28 assists in 30 regular season games last season. Ethan is described by OHL Central Scouting as a "highly skilled centre that makes the players around him better. Ethan is the kind of player that most coaches love to have on their team because he will do whatever it takes to win a hockey game."
"We're very pleased to have Ethan and his family on board.", stated Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. "Ethan's style of play will allow him to fit right in to our organization and we are looking forward to seeing him at Training Camp in August."
Szypula and his family were on hand at the Bell Attack Awards BBQ on Sunday to receive the Ray McKelvie Award, which is presented to the Attack's First Round Draft Pick.
