Long Island Ducks News Release
(Camden, N.J., May 21, 2013) - The Long Island Ducks defeated the Camden Riversharks 5-2 on Tuesday morning in the second game of a four-game series at Campbell's Field.
Adam Bailey put the Ducks in front with a second inning two-run homer to right off Riversharks starter Ryan Kulik. Danny Perales added a solo blast to right in the third, and Murray Watts connected for a RBI double in the fourth, extending the lead to four.
Camden got on the board in their half of the fourth on Paddy Matera's solo homer to left off Ducks starter Matt Way. However, Bryant Nelson pushed the advantage back to four in the fifth with a RBI double. Eduardo Perez's run-scoring single in the ninth trimmed the lead to 5-2, but Camden would get no closer.
Way (2-2) earned the win, tossing six innings, allowing just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six. Kulik (1-2) was saddled with the loss, surrendering five runs on eight hits with two strikeouts in five innings. Leo Rosales earned his seventh save by recording the final out of the game.
Bailey, Nelson and Watts each had two hits to pace the Ducks offensively.
