Lee to Mississippi, Egan to Gwinnett

PEARL, MS -- RHP Michael Lee has been reassigned to Double-A Mississippi from Triple-A Gwinnett and is schedule to start tonight's game against the Jacksonville Suns at Trustmark Park. In corresponding moves, RHP Pat Egan was promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi.

Lee, 26, was 3-1 with a 3.42 ERA in seven outings with the M-Braves before moving up to Triple-A Gwinnett on May 9. In his only outing for the G-Braves, Lee gave up three earned runs on 10 hits and three walks in five frames. Lee made two spot starts for Mississippi, going 1-1 with a 2.79 ERA in those starts including a five-inning shortened complete game shutout on May 1. Lee was signed by the Braves as a minor league free agent on July 11, 2012.

Egan, 28, was 2-1 with a 2.05 ERA in 14 games with the M-Braves. He signed with the Braves as a free agent on April 7 and was assigned to Double-A Mississippi. Egan was released this spring after spending six years in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He was originally drafted in the 36th round of the 2006 draft out of Quinnipiac University. Egan spent most of the 2012 season with Double-A Bowie, posting a record of 3-0 with a 1.60 ERA in 31 appearances out of the Baysox bullpen. After a late season promotion to Triple-A Norfolk, Egan went 1-1 with a 1.65 ERA in eight outings.

The Mississippi roster has 25 active players, 6 disabled and 1 ML rehab.
