PEARL, MS -- Infielder Luis Nunez has been reassigned to Double-A Mississippi from Triple-A Gwinnett. In corresponding moves, catcher Shawn McGill has been reassigned to High-A Lynchburg from Double-A Mississippi.

Nunez, 26, began the season with the M-Braves where he hit .157 in 14 games. Since his promotion to Gwinnett on April 23, Nunez has hit .227 in 10 games. He was signed by the Atlanta Braves as a free agent on November 28, 2012. Nunez was originally signed by the New York Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in November 2003. He spent eight season in the Yankees farm system before signing with the Dodgers in January 2012 and hitting .257 with Double-A Chattanooga.

McGill, 29, was hitting .387 in 13 games for the M-Braves after being activated from the disabled list on April 21. Last season, McGill saw action with Triple-A Gwinnett (.143, 17 G), Double-A Mississippi (.143, 6 G) and High-A Lynchburg (.222, 14 G). He was signed by the Atlanta Braves as a free agent on July 10, 2010, after spending parts of three seasons with the Independent Lincoln Saltdogs.

The Mississippi roster has 25 active players, 6 disabled and 1 ML rehab.
