
Blue Bombers Add Two from CFL Draft

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed two of their draft picks from this year's CFL Draft, receiver Carl Fitzgerald and punter Billy Pavlopoulos.
Fitzgerald (6-5, 240, Saint Mary's, DOB: January 13, 1990 in Peterborough, Ontario) was drafted in the third round (20th overall) in the 2013 CFL Draft after finishing second on the team in receiving last season with 14 receptions for 184 yards and one touchdown. In three season of playing time, Fitzgerald recorded 28 receptions for 435 yards and three touchdowns.
Pavlopoulos (6-3, 200, British Columbia, DOB: August 4, 1991 in Georgetown, Ontario) finished the 2011 season averaging 43-yards per punt - the second best average in the country - after punting 70 times for 3,007 yards. He also served as the Thunderbirds' placekicker and converted 13 of 19 field goal attempts that season. The Blue Bombers selected Pavlopoulos in the seventh round (54th overall) in last week's draft.
