Boise Hawks to Host 2013 5A Tournament

BOISE, ID, - YOUR Boise Hawks are set to host the 2013 5A SIC Invitational State Baseball Tournament at Memorial Stadium, 5600 N. Glenwood St. Boise, Idaho 83714 on May 16, 17 and 18. Admission for the games will be $6.00 for adults, $4.00 for students with an activity card, and $3.00 for seniors.
"This tournament is truly a highlight of the baseball year at Memorial Stadium each spring," commented President/General Manager Todd Rahr. "To witness the talent and each team's desire to carry off the championship trophy on Saturday is a real treat. Good luck to all of the teams in this year's tourney."
Game times will be at 10:00am, 1:00pm, 4:30pm and 7:15 pm on May 16 and 17. The May 18 games will be held at 10:00am, and 1:00pm with the Championship game at 7:00pm. The stadium will be cleared between sessions. The morning session includes the 10:00am game and the 1:00pm game. The afternoon session includes the 4:30pm game and the 7:15pm game.
If inclement weather causes a game in the winner's bracket to be halted, no matter what inning, the game will be considered a suspended game and shall be continued at a later time.
This does not include the loser bracket games. If inclement weather causes postponements of games and secondary sites are necessary, games will be held at either Capital HS or Borah HS.

Game 2: Timberline vs. Boise
Game 3: Madison vs. Borah
Game 4: CDA vs. Eagle

The Hawks began Northwest League play as an independent club from 1987-89. The team was affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1990-2000 and have been with the Chicago Cubs since 2001.
